Alexandra Maria Lara has been a Romanian/German television and film actress for more than a decade. Alexandra is famous for her parts as a character in Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. Born the only child to Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her showbiz career in the early years of her life. By the time she was sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous shows on television. Her portrayal of Adolf Hitler's Secretary Traudl Jue in Downfall (an Oscar-nominated historic war film) was critically as well as critically acclaimed commercially. The Reader, Der Baader Meinhof Komplex and The Reader are also Oscar-nominated movies featuring this beautiful diva. Alexandra worked on several notable national and international projects throughout her career. They include British biographical films like Control and The Dust of Time as well as French historical miniseries Napoleon. Her other roles include being an official jury member for both the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
